PickScore awards points for correct football predictions. The available points are shown before you save a pick. A correct outcome earns its outcome points, an exact score earns the displayed exact-score total, and an incorrect outcome earns zero.
The scoring system can differ between competitions. The values on your pick screen are the ones to check before confirming; there is no single fixed “three points for every correct score” rule across PickScore.
Outcome points and exact-score points
An outcome is a home win, a draw, or an away win. An exact score includes the precise number of goals for both teams.
Suppose you predict a 2–1 home win. If the match finishes 1–0, you have the correct outcome but not the exact score. If it finishes 2–1, both are correct. If it finishes 1–1 or the away team wins, the outcome is incorrect.

The exact-score total already includes the outcome portion. Do not add the outcome points to that total again.
For example, if a pick offers 1.5 outcome points and 4.2 total points for an exact score, an exact hit earns 4.2 points. The breakdown is 1.5 for the outcome plus a 2.7 exact-score bonus. These are illustrative numbers, not an offer for a current fixture.
Why different predictions offer different points
For Champions League 26/27, PickScore uses probability-based points. Less likely correct predictions can earn more than likely ones. The app shows the offered values so you can weigh up a narrow favourite win against a less predictable result.
Correct outcomes and exact-score totals in the current Champions League rules have a minimum of one point, with no hard points cap. Incorrect outcomes still earn zero. Historical picks retain the values they were saved with, including picks placed under earlier scoring versions.
You do not need to calculate the formula to play. Look at the offered points for each choice and check the total for your selected score before locking the pick.
When a prediction locks
Your score and its point values lock when you save the prediction, not at kickoff. You cannot edit the saved score later.
If offered points change afterwards, an existing pick keeps its original values. That means a later update does not reprice the prediction you already made.
Your saved prediction also applies across the pools you belong to for that competition. Joining different groups does not create separate versions of the same match pick.
What counts as the final score
For normal outcome and exact-score awards, full time means 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Extra-time goals and penalty shootouts do not change that full-time score.
A draw in a group or league phase is a complete prediction. Knockout continuation choices are only available when the competition and its published point options support them. Do not assume an extra-time or penalty prediction is offered for every knockout match.
Live points are provisional
During a match, live points and projected leaderboard positions help you follow the competition. They are provisional until the result is settled.
An official full-time score correction can recalculate an award. The recalculation uses the point values saved with the original prediction.
Tournament champion predictions
Where a competition offers a champion pick, you choose a team to win the tournament and see the available points before saving. Champion predictions are also one-shot choices: the saved team and point value remain fixed.
Check the champion screen for availability and its deadline. A match prediction and a champion prediction are separate choices.
